The Winter Without Winter

We're long overdue for an update.  We had a lovely Christmas where we got to see many of you.  We had a hellish drive back, with coughing/puking kids.  We've enjoyed bumming around the house with the kiddos, it'll be sad when Lauren returns to work (or I start work).

Evan is starting to interact a bit more.  He's reaching for things and he will smile.  Each time he's neared laughing, he's ended up with hiccups, so that's a work in progress.  He is getting big, he's bursting out of his 3 month clothes now, soon he'll be in the 6 month stuff (thanks again to the Walkers, he won't have to wear the same clothes more than a few times before he grows out of them!).

Adam is still Adam.  He is in the midst of getting his two year molars, which have made him a bit cranky, but all in all he handles it well.  He doesn't handle being inside all day very well, so we try to get out or over to a friends house each day to keep him happy.  He loves "baby Evan," and is often actually helpful with him (sometimes not so much, but he does try to be helpful).

Lauren has enjoyed time off from work.  Her three months are up near the end of February, so she'll be back to work then.  I don't think she's dreading it or looking forward to it either.  She's started running again, which she enjoys.

I have enjoyed spending so much time with the kiddos, but I'm ready to bring in some income.  Every week I have some semi-promising lead, and every week, last week's lead falls through.  So with all the job search emails and recruiting agents and whatnot, we've got our fingers crossed.

Enjoy the pictures!

Evan's blessing. We did it at the Giambattistas home. It was lovely.

Hello!

Adam and Barec in the park. This picture was taken in the beginning of February.

This picture was taken a week later. Bizarre weather.

We couldn't resist posting this slo-mo video of Adam on a slick slide.
