Giambattista Updates and Other News

Hey all,
I know its been ages since I've posted. Shame shame. Sean and I are settled in our new home and we love it. We actually have stairs, which took some getting used to. There are no weird smells and the carpets don't get wet when it rains. We even have a little space around our front door to proudly display our fall pumpkins. We have a small back patio which houses our very first grill. We have 1 and 1/2 bathrooms and the upstairs one has two sinks! The surrounding area is mostly residential and very quite. There are nice areas to walk/run and a park just down the road. We are very happy here.

I made a trip home to NY this past weekend for Megan's wedding. The wedding was lovely and Megan looked beautiful. Her husband Todd is a very kind person and they'll be so happy together. I loved being home in the fall. I hope we all appreciate what a beautiful place we grew up in. Mom, Dad and I went to Letchwoth park for lunch one day and its was a perfect fall day. The leaves were changing and the air was cool and crisp. Times like these make me really miss home. Mom and I went to Powers Farm market per my request. Bright oranges pumpkins covered the ground. Mom and I went into the tee pees I thought were so scarey when I was young. They were lined with jack-o-lanterns that glowed in the darkness. The smells of fresh donuts and apples in the shop made me feel like a kid again. I remarked to mom how strong smell can be in triggering memories. I hope everyone is enjoying their autumns wherever they are. We are all lucky because we all live in places where fall actually exists. Can you imagine being in a place where the leaves don't change? I'm sure Amber and Carl experienced that in Cali.

Sean and I won't be coming home for Thanksgiving unfortunately. My work schedule is too unsatble to be able to plan that far in advance. However, Aaron and Emily (Sean's brother and sister) will be coming out for the Holiday. So we will be with family. I miss you all and hope to see everyone soon. Enjoy the pics!

Love,
Lauren
