Christmas and other Stuff

Hi Everyone. I figured we best get some new posts up or Mom will hunt us down. Christmas flew by but we had a great time visiting New York. I was glad that things fell into place for me at work so I could get some extra time off to visit. Adam enjoyed Christmas, I think, especially the wrapping paper. Now he has another new stash of toys to play with. Things are plugging along in Indiana. Sean started his final semester, EVER, of school a few weeks ago. He was hired as a T.A. for an undergraduate class. So far he hasn't had to do all that much but gets paid. So we can't complain. Adam is going to daycare two days a week now, since Sean accepted the TA position, and is doing really well. He is starting to not throw a fit when I a drop him off. His teachers distract him and I sneak away. So he's making progress. He has a few new teeth coming through, including some molars. So we've had some cranky days and restless nights, but things are better now that the teeth have finally broken through.

Adam is entering into the "tantrum throwing" age. He threw a pretty good one at Target the other day because I wouldn't let him push the cart. It was a sad moment for me because I realized I now have "one of those kids". I couldn't help but feel embarrassed as people stared at me and their expressions clearly stated "Um, lady shut your kid up!" But then I realized, it's Monday, 11 a.m. at Target. Who else is here besides old people and other moms? There's gonna be some crying and screaming kids.

Last week on Marting Luther King Day we wen't to the Indianapolis Children's Museum because it was free that day. This place is amazing. Of course it was packed because of the free admission, but it was worth going to. They had a huge play room dedicated entirely to kids under 5. So we spent most of our time in there. We even ran into a few families we know from church. We followed up our trip to the museum with some stellar Turkish food downtown. All in all, a great day.

We hope everyone is doing well. Stay Warm!

Obvious that Adam got the good look genes from both sides of his family. Lauren, practice singing
"Bringing in the corn" when he starts tantrum. Remember, me singing it particularly when you got older and didn't want to be embarassed. It's all fun from here.
Ha!

Adam has gotten so big! Funny you mention tantrum because today at kmart alex had one too! I dont understand I was pushing him in the cart and he was having a tantrum because he could not fold up the kmart ad he found in the cart. Everytime I folded it he said "NOOOOO, FOLD DAD!"
